How to jump start vehicle dead battery

Attaching two vehicles auxiliary battery  To jump start a dead car battery, you will need a set of jumper cables and another vehicle with a good battery. Here are the steps to follow: 1. Park the two vehicles close together, with the vehicle with the good battery facing the one with the dead battery. 2. Turn off both vehicles and engage the parking brakes. 3. Open the hoods of both vehicles and locate the batteries. 4. Connect one end of the red (positive) jumper cable to the positive terminal of the dead battery. 5. Connect the other end of the red jumper cable to the positive terminal of the good battery. 6. Connect one end of the black (negative) jumper cable to the negative terminal of the good battery. 7. Connect the other end of the black jumper cable to a metal part of the engine block of the vehicle with the dead battery. This will help to ground the circuit and prevent any electrical sparks. 8.
